Skill training for gardeners at CIH concludes

Medziphema, August 14 (MExN): Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland conducted skill development course for gardeners at its campus in Medziphema from July 3 to August 13. The course is of 260 hours and is accredited by Agriculture Skill Council of India. Altogether, 17 trainees from different districts of Nagaland participated in the course. The course aims in providing in depth understanding on nursery management, propagation planting material, plantation, maintenance and care of garden.  

Earlier, Director CIH, Dr. N K Patle, while interacting with the participants encouraged them to utilize the skills of gardening in generating income and improving their livelihood. He also emphasized on the need to develop a professional work culture to increase productivity.  

Meanwhile, it was informed that the next course on Floriculture (200 hours) will commence from August 23.
