Members of Sümi Hoho and others during ‘thanksgiving programme’ for the completion of 60 km road maintenance works on December 15.

Zunheboto, December 16 (MExN): The Sümi Hoho organised a ‘thanksgiving programme’ for the completion of 60 km road maintenance works from Kandiniu to Zunheboto via Puneboqa-Saptiqa-Ghukiye at Langki River on December 15.
The ‘Citizens Good Road Campaign’ was initiated by the Sümi Hoho was flagged off on November 9 and the road maintenance works was carried out with the voluntary donations of the public.
As per an update from the Hoho, the thanksgiving was attended by leaders of the frontal organisations including the Sümi Kükami Hoho, Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu, Sümi Totimi Hoho, Zunheboto Town GBs Association, Zunheboto Area Public Organization and the Church leaders. The Zunheboto Deputy Commissioner and Sub Divisional Police Officer also attended the programme.
Short speeches were delivered by Zunheboto DC, Peter Lichamo, Sümi Hoho, Advisor Hekhushe Shikhu, Sümi Kükami Hoho, President Kashito Yepthomi, Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu Vice President, Ayeto Jimomi, Zunheboto Town GBs Association President, Shihoto Zhimomi and Zunheboto Area Public Organization President, Kakugha Rotokha.
The speakers applauded the Sümi Hoho for initiating the much needed project and completing the 60 km road maintenance works in just a short span of time. They expressed happiness that a 5-6 hours journey from Zunheboto to Kohima is now reduced to 3-4 hours journey after the maintenance of almost abandoned road.
Sümi Hoho, President, Nikheto Jimomi gave a detailed report on the road maintenance works. He acknowledged all the individuals and groups for generously donating towards the campaign which is a public cause and thanked the Zunheboto district administration and the Roads and Bridges department for the logistic supports.
The programme was chaired by the Sümi Hoho, General Secretary, Dr Vihuto Asumi. Short Exhortation and thanksgiving prayer was conducted by ZTSBC Pastor Rev Dr Daniel Chishi. Invocation and Benediction prayers were pronounced by Associate Pastors of SBCZ Aboli Aye and Holika Aye respectively.
