Dimapur, July 6 (MExN): The Social Researches of LASI (Longitudinal Ageing Study In India) after completing district of Dimapur, Kohima, Kiphire and Mon will be starting their next district in Mokokchung. In Mokokchung, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) Government of India has selected Changtongya Block and Tuli Block for the survey. Mokokchung District has 10 (SSU) Secondary Sampling Unit unlike the rest district which has five (SSU) Secondary Sampling Unit, in this study every household (Sample) is very Important, if the household (Sample) or the whole (SSU) Secondary Sampling Unit gets rejected the data of Nagaland will be greatly effected as only six District and 40 (SSU) Secondary Sampling Unit and 1200 Household is representing the whole of Nagaland.
In this concern, Surenthung Enny, Project Manager/Research, LASI has requested the respective Village Council Members, selected households and the community to give full cooperation to the Social Researches of LASI (Longitudinal Ageing Study In India), Officials from the Union Ministry, Prof. L. Latusingh, Director International Institute of Population Science (IIPS) Visited rural (SSU) Secondary Sampling Unit in Nagaland to get the first hand information of the ongoing research study.
The Research Team will be accompanied by Zabenthung Enny, (P.O) Project Officer (IIPS) and Core team members of HOPARD (Helping Organisation for Poverty & Rural Development).
