Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll held in Kohima

Kohima, November 1 (MExN): A meeting for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll was held at the Conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on November 1. ADC Kohima, N Bhavani Sri IAS, informed and highlighted the schedules for the special summary revision of photo electoral roll with reference to January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date, stated a DIPR report. 

The ADC also notified the publications of Election roll in draft to the electors of the 8- Western Angami, 9- Kohima Town, 10- Northern Angami-I, 11- Northern Angami-II, 12- Tseminyu, 14- Southern Angami-I and 15- Southern Angami-II Assembly Constituencies that the electoral roll has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, and a copy is available for inspection at the office and at polling station during office hours. The qualifying date for the preparation of electoral roll is 01.01.2022. 

“And if, with reference to the above said qualifying date, there be any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion of name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before the 30th November, 2021, in Form 6, 6A, 7, 8 or 8A as may be appropriate. Every such claim or objection should either be presented in office or to the Booth Level Officer or sent by post addressed to the Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima, N Bhavani Sri, IAS so as to reach not later than the aforesaid date,” the report added. 

Copies of the draft roll were handed over to the representatives of the political parties.
