Dimapur, June 28 (MExN): The Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) on Sunday urged the concerned department and contractor to speed up the ongoing works along the Niuland road stating that the present road condition is not pliable for light vehicles.
In a press release, the WSYF stated that it held a joint meeting on June 27 at Vihokhu village with representatives of Niuland area, Kuhuboto area and Ato area in regards to the deplorable condition of Niuland road. “In the meeting, the joint team strongly urged the concerned department and contractor to speed up the ongoing works as the present road condition is not pliable for light vehicles owing to which untold problems are being faced by the public of the three areas in particular and Nagas in general,” the release stated.
The WSYF further assured its cooperation for smooth execution of the road works and urged that at least for the first phase, pliable road should be ensured and to use quality materials for the ongoing works.
