Speed up tendering process for Foothills Road: NFHRCC to dept

Dimapur, November 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has once again urged the concerned department to speed up the tendering process and issue the work orders for the maintenance of the Foothills road.

Stating that it had been persistently keep appealing to the State Government for consistent maintenance of the Foothills road which is “considered a historic and survival road for the common people,” the committee lamented that the matter has been delayed for quite some time. It “exhibits lackadaisical attitude of the department,” it said in a statement appended by NFHRCC Convenor Supu Jamir, Co-convenor Hokiye Yepthomi, General Secretary W Lemba Chang, and Assistant General Secretary Chenithung Humtsoe.

As such, the NFHRCC urged department to “hasten the tendering process and issue the work orders at earliest as the working season has already arrived, in fact half of the season is over.”
