Zunheboto, June 6 (MExN): SARDP Sumi Area Affected Landowners Welfare Committee (SSAALWC) on Sunday in a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto stated that it has decided to “partially allow resumption of 2-lane road suspension work with effect from June 7.”
SSAALWC, Convener, Ghuvishe V Zhimomi and Joint Secretary, Bosukha Chishi in a press release said that the representatives of the Committee “after thorough deliberations adopted three points resolutions.”
The resumption of road work is being allowed only to those uncut portion of land/spot left abandoned by Gayatri-Maytas construction company and later compensated to beneficiaries/landowners by NHIDCL during the year 2018-19, it resolved. It said that “the remaining areas of land/spot where Gayatri-Maytas have caused enormous damages to standing properties during 2011-2013 and falls under SARDP-NE Phase-2 property damages compensation will not be allowed to resume the work.”
“The total revocation of road work will be amicably settled, provided that the aggrieved/SSAALWC receives written assurance from the competent authority(s) as per the previous joint resolutions,” it asserted.
