Kohima, April 12 (MExN): St Francis Xavier Catholic Church under Diocese of Kohima observed Divine Mercy Sunday with rest of the world with Reverend Father Siby John, Parish Priest as main celebrant on April 11.
According to a press release received on Monday, Reverend Father Siby John spoke about the origin of Divine Mercy Sunday and asked the faithful to surrender themselves to God in order to be pardoned.
Sr Margarita, Superior of Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) and Headmistress of St Xavier School shared the Divine Mercy and called on the congregation to forgive each other to achieve the full meaning of the celebration of Eucharist, the release stated.
