Dimapur, May 22 (MExN): Reverend Fr. Dr. Sebastian Ousepparampil, Principal, St. Joseph College (Autonomous), Jakhama and Anirban Mukherjee, Operations Manager, India & International - Emporium Skill Training Institute (ESTI signed the MoU on May 22 at the Bishop's House, Dimapur.
ESTI and St. Joseph College will together screen/select the aspiring students who are currently pursuing their graduation in the college for the hospitality, aviation and cruise line sectors. The selected students will be given skill development training in the mentioned sectors along with employment opportunities in the world class global international luxury premium five star hotels, airlines and cruises, stated a report from the DPRO Dimapur.
St. Joseph College and ESTI is also planning to start a diploma programme which will be jointly certified by the college and ESTI. A press release stated that ESTI will open a new PMKVY Skill Training Centre within the college premises. Through this initiative, the students will get free of cost skill development training and global employment opportunities.
Both the partners together will work hand in hand to eradicate the unemployment problem within the state and will empower the youth of Nagaland. Skill development is equally important as to formal education for the youths and therefore this initiative has been taken by both the partners. ESTI will be joining hands with various other prestigious colleges in Nagaland this year, the institute has already collaborated with more than 167 colleges across India.
