State IT to make VC members e-literate

The state’s department of information technology & communication has initiated capacity building programme to upgrade e-literacy of the state by providing IT training facilities at the door steps of rural masses through Mobile e- Classrooms. 

The implementation of Mobile e-Classroom has been initiated in 7 villages on pilot basis in Kohima, Dimapur and Peren districts. The e-literacy programme envisages to enable one member from every village council to be e-literate. The programme is being implemented by the District e-governance Society constituted in all the districts, source said.
