With the varied in-depth stories ranging from the story of construction workers, their living condition and the variations fellows have brought in, he said, “when it's written down, it becomes a real story and it has been a miracle for us.”

Basing on the stories have been produced by media fellows in the past, he underscored that, “we have made so many changes, and improvised our schemes by looking at their grievances as highlighted in the stories that have been brought out.”

He also stated belief that the fellowship has given lots of opportunities to know the heartbeat of the people.

In her chairperson's remark, Alice Yhoshü, President of Kohima Press Club stated appreciation to the NBOCWWB for the media fellowship thar is now in its 4th edition. She also proposed for the publication of a book documenting the stories of the fellows in these four years. NBOCWWB expressed interest for the same and said that it would be taken up.

Vishü Rita Krocha, KPC General Secretary & Convenor of the Media Fellowship traced the journey of the fellowship that was conceived and initiated in the year 2022 while terming it as a year that marked the beginning of a journey that would unfold many remarkable stories in the construction industry.

She said that the first-of-its-kind and the only media fellowship in the state has not only empowered the society, but also given an opportunity and enabled journalists from Nagaland to explore the vulnerable aspects of people working in the construction sector.

Stating belief that it has also remarkably changed the landscape of how we tell our stories especially in the sector of construction, she expressed belief that it has further unleashed the hidden potentials of the media fellows in the past, as it would for the newly selected media fellows of 2025 to produce stories that are both enriching and impactful.

The fellows, she added, would experience the exquisite joy of getting a special grant to write stories that goes beyond regular reporting.

She also thanked the NBOCWWB for its generous funding and acknowledged T.Chubayanger, the CEO of NBOCWWB for personally taking keen interest in ensuring that the fellowship has been carried on for the fourth consecutive year.

However, she said the fellowship has given the opportunity where they could give themselves time, and focus their attention on the construction industry.

“It was a privilege to tell the stories of one of the most vulnerable sectors in the society”, she expressed.

Chizokho Vero affirmed that he would take the assignment as a mission and act as a positive ambassador for Construction workers in Nagaland and beyond. Shongmo B said she was honoured to be part of the fellowship and highlighted that in the context of Noklak construction is not just high buildings but also about survival, livelihood, basic connectivity and about the human story.
