DIMAPUR, FEB 27 (MExN): The Porbami Students’ Union (PSU) has expressed anguish over the step motherly treatment of the Nagaland Public Service commission (NPSC) in regard to the appointment of EAC, the result of which was declared to the public through various Local News papers recently.
“We are constraint to bring to the notice of NPSC in particular and Naga people in general that we are deeply humiliated by the action of NPSC”, stated a press communiqué issued by Vechuru Hesuh, Vice-President PSU. It noted that the recommendation for appointment to the post of EAC in respect of Velule Tureng was cancelled subsequently upon her acceptance letter to the offer letter, dated 20th January, 2006 in reference to the Government memorandum Vide No. PAR 3/19/86 (pt.1) Dated Kohima 17th January 2006 despite her fulfilling of all pre-requisite qualification as prescribed by the Government.
“Therefore, we strongly urge the Government to strictly adhere to the result of NPSC as declared on 30th November through various local media, addendum or corrigendum is in no way acceptable. The NPSC shall be responsible for only unwanted incident that may arise due to failure in fulfilling our demand”, the students union cautioned.
