Class 10 students from Government Higher Secondary School in Peren district visited the School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS) at Nagaland University, Medziphema campus, on August 29.

Medziphema, August 31 (MExN): A group of Class 10 students from Government Higher Secondary School in Peren district visited the School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS) at Nagaland University, Medziphema campus, on August 29 for a multi-skill foundation course.
The students, accompanied by their course in-charge, toured various facilities, including departmental museums, the library, and farms.
During the visit, officials introduced the students to different bee species and pollinators at the AICRP Honey Bee and Pollinators unit. At the Sericulture Unit, experiential learning students demonstrated Eri silkworm rearing techniques, explaining its scope, limitations, and market value. The tour also included the Instructional cum Research Farm, where production technologies for various crops and farming techniques were highlighted.
The students visited the Department of Entomology's insect museum, where they were shown various insect pests, beneficial insects, and learned about their roles in the ecosystem. At the Department of Plant Pathology's museum, they were introduced to common plant diseases affecting locally grown crops.
The students also visited the SAS Museum and the SAS Library.
