DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 17 (MExN): Minister for PHED, Jacob Zhimomi addressed the Annual Conference of the Thilixu Village Students' Union on December 17. As per a press release issued by the Minister’s press secretary, Zhimomi emphasised the significance and the role expected of students as leaders of the future.
“As future leaders, students have a huge responsibility to fulfill and be instruments of positive change,” he said, while applauding the student community for being steadfast in their commitment towards the betterment of society. He called for rising above “ism” (narrow tribal affiliation) and be united as one. “When we are united, nothing can break our bond. And in whatever we do, let us always remember to put God first,” it said. He further extended his best wishes for the success of the event and saluted the pioneers of the Thilixu Village Students' Union for their vision and mission to selflessly serve the society.
