In line with the farm school, training on sustainable organic tea production was conducted. Resource person Chubawati, a progressive tea farmer and also the president of District Farmers’ Union, covered the whole method of cultivation right from planting type and spacing to harvesting. He also stressed on clonal propagation of tea, stating that clones are preferred because of low tree mortality, less maintenance, and better growth rate.

Later, during interaction, the farmers highlighted that absence of processing unit and lack of machineries to use in the farm has a setback on their income as the labour cost exceeds their income.
