Teachers’ training programme held at GM GHS Chizami

GM Government High School, Chizami, organised a two-day orientation-cum-teachers’ training programme on August 21–22.

CHIZAMI, AUGUST 22 (MExN): GM Government High School, Chizami, organised a two-day Orientation-cum-Teachers’ Training Programme on August 21–22 at the school auditorium. The training was facilitated by SCERT Kohima faculty members Izeule Ramlia, Metsesulu Veyie, and Mhalo Ovung.

A total of 42 teachers from schools across Chizami Sub-Division, including GHS Thetsumi, GMS Enhulumi, GMS Chizami Old Town, GM GHS Chizami, GHS Mesulumi, and Eastern Mission High School Chizami, participated in the programme.

The sessions focused on enhancing classroom transaction skills in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework. Topics included Knowing Self, NEP 2020, National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS), National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE), transforming the teaching-learning process, leading partnerships, and 21st-century skills. The training was activity-based and hands-on, ensuring active participation from all trainees.

The inaugural session was chaired by Seno Tsuhah, AHM, GM GHS Chizami, while Vikholie Venuh, Headmaster, Eastern Mission High School, offered the invocation prayer. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Kesevotso Lüho, GT (Maths), GHS Thetsumi.

Special appreciation was extended to Keviraleü Kerhuo, Director of SCERT Nagaland, for approving the School Leadership Academy (SLA) faculty to conduct the training in a rural setting.
