Team from Nagaland wins chorale competition in Mizoram

A chorale team from Nagaland led by Hallel Music Academy, Kohima singer Gideon Mesen Thono won the chorale competition in ‘Swar Sudha Music Festival of Choral Music & Instrumental Ensemble’ recently held in Mizoram.  

Nagaland choir presented western classical music and Naga traditional music at the Swar Sudha Music Festival held on September 27-28 at Aizawl, where participation from North Eastern States and also premier team from the mainland.  

Hallel Music Academy, Kohima teachers and voice students, and others representing Nagaland team was led by renowned musician, Gideon Mesen who accomplished his composition and conducting major’ from Philippines. He has also won Hornbill Chorale Fest and Kohima Youth Fellowships’ Chorale Competition as a best choir and best conductor in the past.
