DIMAPUR, AUGUST 20 (MExN): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has reminded the Nagaland PWD of the former's representation demanding termination of backdoor appointees and the advertisement for SO- Grade-II vacancies.
A press release from the CTAN media cell said that its first representation dated February 7, 2019 had called for immediate termination of illegal appointees (29 SO Grade-II, 7 surveyors, 7 draftmen).
The second representation was on November 2, 2019, followed by peaceful sit-in-protest outside the NPWD Directorate on December 16, 2019 and the meeting convened by the Commissioner and Secretary (Work and Housing) with CTAN and CEAN.
“We the deprived technical graduates agreed upon the proposal put by the Commissioner and Secretary for seeking 3months deadline till March 31, 2020,” it reminded. The association however stated that no official intimation has been received from the department towards the plea put by CTAN and CEAN as of August 20.
The CTAN hoped that the government would implement the assurances given on December 17, 2019 regarding termination of all illegal appointees and addendum of all existing SO Grade-II vacancies giving all eligible candidates equal opportunity.
