For centuries Christians have no division of denomination like today i.e. only one church throughout the world. However, Satan, the father of all wickedness; the eternal enemy of God; his mission on earth is to destroy God’s people and the church. So, Satan’s best tools to confuse believers is to give vices, corruption & mal-practices (which is against the Bible teaching) is all because of Satan’s master plan towards the church. But God give his people the right direction through the Bible. So, to overcome those vices, corruption and Mal-practices in the church, a new Reformation Movement started led by Martin Luther. This Movement is based on ‘the Bible’, the right direction to the church and to every believer.
But Alas, Satan (the Arch-Enemy of God) is still active in the church that instead of unity, men have an idea to start new churches (new denominations). All this is because of Satan’s Master design towards the Church of God. Today we have in all thousands of Christian Denominations in the world. So, Christians must be aware and be Alert on how Satan is working among the churches.
According to http://www.gotquestions.org/Protestant-denominations.html we see a question; Which of the 30,000 Christian denomination is the true Church of God? The divisions among the Churches is really against the will of God.
In our present Naga context, day by day and year after year more new Christian denominations were brought to Nagaland from Western World. With this rate, within few years, there will be more than 100 Christian denominations in Nagaland. Suppose, if Nagas are equally divided into 100 denominational churches and the Total Annual Income from every believers is Rs. 1 Crore (i.e. from tithe & offering and other charities). Let us divide Rs. 1 Crore by 100= Rs. 1 Lakh to each denominational church. However, if we are not think it seriously, this simple mathematics will shortly be a reality in near future.
So, at this rate, can we able to send 10,000 Missionaries or able to manage financially to send 10,000 Naga Missionary to the world for the cause of save the ‘Lost Soul in the world’ as Jesus, our saviour command as to do? We have to choose whether we the Naga Churches can unite and obey on what our dear Lord Jesus command us “Go into the world and preach good news and save the Lost Soul” or we can try to convince ourselves to convert one Naga Christian into another Christian Denomination? Everyday hundreds and thousands are dying without knowing the love of Christ. Jesus died for us and He want to use us for his ministries to save those dying soul. Now every Naga Christian must think whether your kind charity will use for mission in order to save lost soul in the world or use to convert Christian to another Christian denomination?
After finishing all the task of Salvation for us, Jesus said, Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the Good news to all creation”. What a lovely words our Lord given to us! But in reality with this rate, can Naga Churches able to manage financially to work for mission and save the ‘Lost Soul’?
Today conflict between Catholic Church and Anatongre village of Nagaland is an example. Since Anatongre village is 100% Baptist Christian, after spending their church infrastructures (i.e. staff salaries etc) the poor Anatongre church can manage a little amount for Mission Activities. What a good news that the poor Anatongre church able to manage some amount for the Mission! However, if Anatongre church divide into 2 or 3 Christian denominational church, can they financially manage the for ministry of Christ to save the lost soul in the world. In my opinion, instead of trying to convert Anatongre Christian who are living peacefully with single denominational church why Catholic Christian not spend the same effort and amount to the people in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma who don’t know the love of Christ?
