Dimapur, August 19 (MExN): The Naga Rising (TNR) has expressed grief over the demise of Dr (Guru) I Sademmeren Longkumer hailing from Ungma Village, Mokokchung District as “a big loss for the Ao community and the entire Nagas.”
TNR in condolence note stated, “We are at this crucial juncture in our history when we need the wisdom and knowledge of elders like him more than ever before. A true guardian of our indigenous knowledge and endowed with God given wisdom, his pioneering work and contribution towards safeguarding our historical traditions and cultural identity has laid the foundation for future generations to build on and take it forward.”
“As a cultural icon and a legend of his times, the legacy he left behind will continue to teach, guide, and inspire us to celebrate and preserve our rich tradition and culture,” TNR added while conveying heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the citizens of Ungma village and the Ao community during this time of pain and loss.
