The roadmap to Nagalim

• Sir-Nagalim, as having so many different traditions, customs, languages, and communities (66 tribes as per records of NSF) must have one of the richest culture in the world. People think and live in terms of their own respective cultures and tongues, and seek to serve for their own selfish ends without giving a proper thought of the common good of Nagalim. Such a trend is bound to lead to disintegration of Nagalim in the long run.

The only consistent in human life is change. Change is also a movement from birth to birth; from mystery to mystery; invention to discovery. Change can occur from individual to individual as well.

Nagas want a change that would serve the aspirations of all sections of Naga society; a change that should also be served for the common good of all citizens of Nagalim, and that would be based on the general will of all Naga people. Sometimes, individual interests adds together to constitute a majority will which is not for the common good of all. Hence, a majority will is not always necessarily a general will. (According to Rousseau, a general will is a will which should serve for the common good of all.)

In esoteric teaching, there is an important law called the ‘Law of Three’. The positive effort you put in is called the first force. As you put in positive force there is a negative force that would affect the positive force. This is called the second force. If one continuously puts in positive effort there would be a third force that would descend and transform the negative force into positive force. This is called the ‘Law of Three’.

We could also apply this law in the context of the Nagas. The NSCN (I-M) had been putting an attempt to claim the right of the Nagas in an independent State, and it is still in the process. Almost all the Naga organisations have given a concerted effort positively. As the Naga Resistance Movement has given a positive force, there is a second force called negative force and this negative force is tribalism that would affect integration of Nagalim. If we do not continue to exert positive force, the negative force will take over. So , the ‘Law of Three’ strongly urges the NSCN (I-M), Naga Hoho and its constituent units,  NBCC,  CNBC, NPMHR,  NSF and its federating units, ANSAM, NMA, Naga Women’s Union Manipur, not to allow the negative force to grow, but to continue applying the positive action in order to transform the negative force into positive force.

“NO ONE CAN MAKE THE NAGAS TO HAVE TRIBALISM WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE NAGAS”.

“A LAUDABLE GOAL OF NAGALIM INTEGRATION WILL BE DETERMINED BY TRIBAL’S UNITY OF THE NAGAS, & TRIBAL’S UNITY OF THE NAGAS WILL BE DEPENDED UPON ON HOW TODAY- LEADERS OF NAGALIM CEASELESSLY WORK FOR ITS ACHIEVEMENT”.

A good leader understands this law, and, he strives even in the face of fiercely negative circumstances. The second important factor that a leader should understand is the principle of a ladder. According to this principle, “Each one of us is on one rung of spirituality. If one has to go up the ladder of spiritual growth, not only one should help others to climb, but one should also not pull anyone down.”

“THE YOUNG CITIZENS OF NAGALIM WANT TO SEE THEIR LEADERS NOT HOW HARD THEY ARE WORKING, BUT HOW MUCH THEY HAVE DONE”.

The third important quality of a leader is in learning the art of managing people. While managing, leader has to keep his people’s hope alive.

“IT IS IN THE HANDS OF LEADER’S TO KEEP THEIR YOUNG CITIZEN’S HOPES ALIVE SO AS TO MAKE NAGALIM A BETTER PLACE”.
We should make all our brethren feel that the Nagas are one and that the whole Nagalim belongs to them, that there will be no distinction between the rich and the poor, (one of the immediate objective of NSCN is socialism, so NAGALIM stands for socialism) and that all will be given equal opportunities to develop themselves economically, socially, educationally to become an honorable citizen of Nagalim.

The need of the hour is to fight tooth & nail against the anti-social elements who are bent upon destroying the integrity of the Nagas. It is our prime concern and duty to work ceaselessly for the achievement of tribal unity. We should sink our personal differences in the larger interests of Nagalim’s Integration and adopt common approach to Nagalim’s   problems if we want to achieve a laudable goal of Integration.

To be able to awake people’s enthusiasm is the greatest skill that a leader can possess. When Andrew Carnegie was asked about his secret of success, he answered, “One should have the patience of a gold miner when working with people. To get a little gold, one should remove patiently a lot of dust”.
