
American, Canadian goodwill medical team in Nagaland

Longleng: Nagaland Home Minister Thenucho inaugurated the Operation Theater of the Longleng Civil Hospital today. He was accompanied by Parliamentary Secretaries Kipili Sangtam, Nkhao Lotha and Hewoto Sema.
The Minister was also the Chief Guest at the inaugural function of the Medical Camp held here. The camp was organized by the Medical Ministry International (MMI) and Nagaland Development Outreach, NBCC Nagaland, in association with the Phom Baptist Church Association (PBCA).
In his inaugural speech, Thenucho conveyed his appreciation to the team of doctors and nurses from MMI for the love and concern they had shown by coming all the way from the USA and Canada to render their services to the people of Longleng in particular and Nagaland in general.
He touched upon the HIV/AIDS menace in Naga society and asked the people to be more vigilant in this regard.
He further urged upon the local doctors to follow the example of the visiting medical team.
A team of 10 Doctors and Nurses from the USA and Canada, along with two medical students, are visiting Longleng for the purpose of conducting a medical camp for a period of 14 Days.
They will be assisted by a Team of local doctors and nurses from different districts of Nagaland.
The District Administration of Longleng, has, in this regard, lauded and congratulated the relentless efforts of the Medical Ministry International group under the leadership of Dr. Pete Obregon for taking the initiative to render their valuable services towards helping the poor, sick and the needy.
