DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 22 (MExN): The Thenyizu Baptist Church successfully concluded a two-day Women Convention today, under the theme “The Strength of a Godly Woman.” The event witnessed participation from women across Kohima, Dimapur, Chetheba, Utauliko, and local churches.
According to a press release from the organizing committee, the primary objective of the convention was to strengthen the bonds of Thenyizumi, promote collective growth in all aspects of life, and uphold the integrity and identity of Thenyizumi.
The convention featured speakers including Dr. Adela Mero from Rainbow Academy and Resource Centre, Dimapur, and Vepalü Dawhuo, a Counseling Psychologist. Dr. Mero, in her keynote address, emphasized the importance of teaching children about God’s unwavering presence and faithfulness. She encouraged parents to share testimonies of divine blessings with their children to nurture a deep-rooted faith. Additionally, she stressed the significance of living out Biblical teachings and highlighted the need for reverence in worship, stating, “We often prepare our best to meet important people, but we should show the same energy and respect when coming to church to worship God.”
Vepalü Dawhuo inspired attendees to build their lives on an unshakeable foundation of faith. She urged women to embody godly character and strength to overcome life’s challenges.
The convention also included various workshops addressing personal and community well-being. Dr. Vezhokholü Losou delivered an insightful session on the “Importance of Health and Hygiene,” encouraging participants to prioritize their physical and mental health.
In her closing remarks, Vahina Thisa highlighted the pivotal role of godly women in nurturing faith within families and communities. She urged women to reflect God’s teachings through their actions, inspiring future generations by guiding their spiritual growth.
The Thenyizu Baptist Church Women Convention not only celebrated the strength of godly women but also provided them with tools and inspiration to lead lives rooted in faith and service.
