Mokokchung, June 23 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mokokchung has come a long way and “there is no stopping,” a party functionary asserted on June 22. 

Addressing the Mokokchung district executive meeting on Wednesday, the unit Vice President I Lanutoshi Longkumer further likened the party to a ‘diesel engine,’ needing oil via renewed vigour and memberships, which would take the party till the end.

The meeting, among others, discussed party functioning, mobilisation and as well as the upcoming election, informed a media release from the unit. 

In his presidential speech, Imolemba Jamir also highlighted the important issues discussed at the recent BJP State executive meeting held in Dimapur on June 18. 

He further lauded and appreciated all the Morchas, Mandals, the Cells for “going beyond the call of duty and reaching out” to the people of Mokokchung under the banner of BJP, Mokokchung district. 

All activities undertaken by the BJP Mokokchung is well documented and would be acknowledged, he maintained. 

BJP District In-charge and former Minister, Nuklutoshi Longkumer, in a message read out at the meeting, also challenged all the karyakartas (workers) to work more vigorously and achieve the “farsighted decisions and visions” of BJP under  BJP National President JP Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Narendra Modi, the release informed. 

District Executive Members, L Temsu and R Nungsang, both former district presidents, also urged the gathering to maintain the sanctity of BJP, it said. 

They further narrated the hardships of BJP in Mokokchung in last decade and urged the karyakartas to work with humility, know the love of God, and serve the people, it added.  

The programme was chaired by District Secretary Tiarenla while the Kisan Morcha President Tiayanger invoked God’s blessings.
