An upgraded multi skill and electronics lab was inaugurated at Thinuovicha Memorial GHSS, Kohima on August 26.

Kohima, August 26 (MExN): An upgraded multi skill and electronics lab was inaugurated at Thinuovicha Memorial Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima on August 26.
The lab was upgraded by Lend A Hand India in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland and funded by LIC Housing Finance Ltd. (CSR). The initiative is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, aiming to strengthen vocational education in the state.
The chief guest Dr Vitsosie Vüprü, Principal of Kohima College, Kohima was joined by Dr Chumbeni Kikon Neikha, Principal of the school and Joint Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, along with senior officials, coordinators from Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, and staff of the school.
In his keynote address, Dr. Vüprü emphasised, “Vocational education is essential for preparing our students with practical skills and confidence. These upgraded labs will not only enrich learning but also empower students to take up future careers with competence and self-reliance.”
As part of the programme, instructors from Lend A Hand India, Metsuryi Tetseo and Rongsentoshi Ozukum, took the guests for a guided tour of the lab and explained the lab equipment and vocational curriculum. Students of the school showcased two live practical — making an extension board and parallel connection of electrical wires — which were highly appreciated by the guests.
Richard Asoso, Assistant Manager at Lend A Hand India, who chaired the event, highlighted the collective effort of Lend A Hand India, Samagra Shiksha and LIC- HFL in promoting skill-based education in Nagaland.
