F &ES personnel can be seen fighting fire at Kacharigaon, Industrial Estate colony, Dimapur on March 15.
Dimapur, March 15 (MExN): Fire & Emergency Services personnel responded to three separate fire calls in Dimapur on March 13 and 15, RO (E), F &ES Kenny Khing informed in a press release on Monday.
According to the release, in the first incident, two fire tenders along with sufficient equipment and personnel from Fire Station Chümoukedima led by Duty Commander SI Francis Seiminlal Singsit responded to a fire call at NAPTC, Chümoukedima on March 13.
Two katcha houses along with house hold property worth approximately Rs 4 lakh were gutted in the inferno. No casualties were reported during the incident. The fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, the release stated.
In another incident on March 13, a team from Fire Station Chümoukedima led by Duty Commander SI Kenyuyhun Kent responded to a fire call near Bethel Baptist School in 4th Mile, Dimapur. The fire was put out without any casualties, the release stated.
Meanwhile, another fire incident occurred at Kacharigaon, Industrial Estate colony, Dimapur on March 15, in which property worth approximately Rs 2 lakh were destroyed.
A Fire & Emergency Services team led by Duty Commander SI M Martin Miasalhou was despatched from Fire Station Dimapur (West). The release stated that a saw mill along with one house was partially burned in the inferno. However, due to timely information and response, fire was controlled and prevented from spreading to surrounding buildings and property worth Rs 20 lakh approximately could be salvaged. Cause of fire is suspected to be from electrical short circuit and there were no casualties, the release stated.
