Nagas have learned a lot during a brief span of time: negligence of common cause – putting personal above common interest; reluctant over practicality; conversing without acknowledging the importance of details; of being usurping the attitude of “come what may” without resolve, clarity and answer. Without acceptance we become our own roadblock. Amidst the dark bad weather, we should try not to get lost but have mutual trust and lift the clouds for the sunny day to unravel.
Time today has become crucial over how our destiny is to be shaped. Though it still would be pertinent to segregate election and solution but if it is for the whole of people to conclude any stages of solution so that the burden of multiple governments would be relaxed, then there should be the pursuit. And as for the commencement of election, it all depends upon the political parties to evaluate themselves, the circumstances and eventuality, and about although some it would little impact total resources given clean election is held.
It is comprehended by all that without the involvement of all parties and the people, any solution would not be acceptable for the people willfully. Also people would not essentially subscribe to certain convictions that do not harbor the common cause and common interest of the people in foreseeable contingency. Thus before a solution is framed with the GOI there first should be a round of discussion among all the NNPGs along with the representatives of sensible people. This wouldn’t mean that the first step of meeting will guarantee the further participation of every group; if there are substantiated spur of disagreements, then it could also be presented and justified to the masses and would be a subject for further deliberation. The involvement of the representative of the people is vital for – to reflect on the commonness of all the Nagas during intense diversion of topics and to ensure the common interest of the people. And if all the NNPGs could agree on a first stage setting aside mountains of differences along with the sensible yearnings of the people, then the “solution” could be made public and displayed for substantiated feedbacks and critics, and with popular consent begin initializing.
The discussion among Naga groups would require of the outmost exhibition of mental maturity, patience, trust, prudence, impartiality etc. to process it, but most importantly it would be to have hope on the Naga cause as a human. Our Naga dream may get fulfilled or not but for it to fail or not, there has to be a dream and hope nurturing the dream. As a guideline factor, the introductory primary mould for a conclusive stage of solution could be interjected from the framework agreement and the developments of the working committee that have been so far attained with the GoI, whilst never excluding what the common terms of deliberation the other groups has in store. If there is the commitment for a true Naga cause unbound by narrow obligations, the consolidation among Nagas may even conclude in a matter of weeks if not month. And if any progress and potential or discrepancy is foreseen during the initial meets, then perhaps the confusion about election may be cleared out also irrelevant to filling of nomination.
The hour for all the Nagas to observe and remark with resplendent judgment has emerged and we should exercise it with broad detailed perspective. With the confidence of the people, if given the privilege, this group would also favor to represent the sensible perspective of the people during the consolidation, despite our never ceasing effort in organizing our perspective towards common aspiration only minuscule to the manifold of human imperfections. And however invalid certain section may deem our remark, unless the common interest of the people are also considered as viable for a conclusive solution, we will not endorse any prospects.
Without much further ado the consolidation among all the NNPGs for a common Naga cause may be announced – the apex organizations could maybe shoulder the responsibility for arranging the schedules or as such – and begin the process of relieving the public from overwhelming of uncertainty.
