Mon, November 28 (MExN): Tobu Area Teachers’ Association (TATA) celebrated silver jubilee with the theme ‘teaching is a mission’ at Tobu HQ on November 27.  

EAC Tobu Tsidi, NCS graced the occasion as the special guest. He highlighted the role and responsibilities of teachers in shaping the society and how the teachers play an important role in moulding the young minds of the area. He encouraged the association to set a target among the teaching community so that literacy rate in remote areas like Tobu could be increased and for accessing quality education among the children in the area.

Apong Jamir, SDEO Tobu, SA Ngamlao President KU Tobu, Bejem AEO Tobu and Sangti Konyak President TASU also spoke during the programme.

The programme was chaired by Hoangken and Eshan, welcome address was delivered by BB Nyakba, Chairman Planning Committee, retrospective speech was delivered by Chepong, first Vice President TATA, song was presented by Phaiba Konyak and word of thanks was delivered by P Langphong President, TATA.

Former office bearers were felicitated and souvenir was released by Tongpang, Pastor, TTBC. Phulem, Pastor, TVBC was the jubilee speaker.
