TR Zeliang extends Christmas greetings

Dimapur, December 18 (MExN): Leader of Opposition TR Zeliang has conveyed Christmas and New Year greetings to the citizens of Nagaland.

In a message on Friday, Zeliang stated that “Christmas season is a nostalgic time of joy, peace and happiness as it reminds us of the great love of our Lord,” and called on all to “forgive each other and let love, reconciliation and brotherhood be the symbol of our Christmas celebration.”

“As we wait for conclusion of the Indo-Naga Political issue, let us continue to pray for the Lord’s sanction to work out everything in the best way possible,” he added.

Zeliang hoped that this Christmas will be an occasion for the Naga people to unite and that great peace, prosperity and victory will be upon all as the New Year sets in.

“The year 2020 has witnessed unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and against a backdrop filled with pain, loss and suffering; we will be celebrating Christmas which may be unlike any we have ever experienced.

However, hard times have a way of bringing out the best in people and this Christmas season, I earnestly hope and pray that the promise of peace and hope for the future that comes with Christmas be ignited in everyone,” the message read.
