Training on non-communicable diseases held in Zunheboto

ZUNHEBOTO, JULY 27 (MExN): Orientation training on National Programme for Non Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD) was conducted at Chief Medical Officer’s office Zunheboto on July 23. 

Dr N Mhonchan Kithan, DPO (NCD) Zunheboto emphasised on the importance of creating Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) and termed it as a health care solution launched by the Government of India under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in September 2021, a press release issued by NCD, Zunheboto informed. 

Dr Kithan said the account has a unique health ID consisting of 14 digit identification number generated using Aadhaar card, he informed. He mentioned the advantages of having an ABHA card as it allows a beneficiary to be identified under India’s health care ecosystem which is accepted by health service providers across the country. During the orientation programme, the medical staffs were trained to generate ABHA ID. 

A session on elimination of Tuberculosis was taken by Akavi, National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) staff who stressed on the efforts by the Government of India to eliminate tuberculosis disease in India by 2025. 

He further encouraged the staffs to conduct tuberculosis awareness activities in the district. Ado, Consultant, National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, Zunheboto delivered health talk on Dengue, Malaria, Japanese Encephalitis. He also urged the medical staffs to conduct Rapid Diagnostic Test for malaria in all fever cases. 

Hekato, Store Keeper emphasized on the benefit of supply and use of standard quality medicines. ANMs, CHOs, Block ASHA coordinators, medical officers, NTEP staffs and NLEP staffs participated in the training.
