Kohima, December 14 (MExN): ATMA Kohima district conducted training on oyster mushroom cultivation through paddy straw at Perizie Colony, Kohima from December 7 to 12.

The training was held under Skill Training for Rural Youth (STRY) Scheme under the Sub-Mission on Agriculture Extension (SMAE) of National Mission on Agricultural Extension Technology (NMAET) of Ministry of Agriculture and Famer’s Welfare, Government of India.

Mhathung Tsopoe, Horticulture Inspector and Team Member, Nagaland Bee Keeping & Honey Mission was the resource person. 

Trainees were introduced with medicinal, nutritional and its economic benefits on how one can sustain for its livelihood. A total number of 18 participants were trained. This was stated in a press release issued by Rokoshuno Angela, Dy PD (ATMA), Kohima.
