Wokha, January 23 (MExN): Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Government of Nagaland organized hands on training on value added fish products at Aree Old, Aspirational Village under Wokha district on January 22.
A DIPR report stated that the training was held for the women SHGs under Gender Budgeting during 2019-20 with an aim to help them in entrepreneurship development.
Altogether, 25 trainees participated in the training. Resource person Dory Yanthan, DFO Wokha with her staffs taught on preparation of fish products which are simple and easy to follow processing techniques such as fish pickle, fish finger and fish soup.
Among the trainees, Orenponi Yanthan thanked the Department for imparting the training and affirmed that they had gained practical knowledge and skills which they will put them into practice and serve purpose for income generation in the days to come.
