Peren, November 23 (MExN): ATMA Peren Block conducted a training program on ‘Winter Vegetable Cultivation’ at Gaili Namdi Village on November 17.
The program was chaired by Mapeuheile Ndang, Agriculture Officer and Convenor. Resource Person Kewichamsi Kaurinta ATM and Kibale ATM conducted training on cultivation of pea and potato. They suggested that yields and quality of vegetables could be improved by using disease free planting materials, adopting organic farming practices, crop care, irrigation and weed management. Later, they interacted with the farmers and seeds were distributed.
Altogether, 34 farmers attended the program, a press release from ATMA Peren informed.
