Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): A joint inspection visit on the progress and latest status of the Trans Nagaland Expressway will be conducted on February 10, the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) informed on Monday.
According to a press release from the committee, the proposed inspection will be conducted along with the concerned departmental officials and the contractor. It also invited all Dimapur based tribal hohos, any apex hohos and other local civil society organisations to join the team at 11:00 am at the Doyang Bridge Construction Site at Governor’s Camp, Liphanyan, on the said day.
The NFHRCC meanwhile acknowledged the contribution of Rs 40,000 from Pastor Yanbemo Lotha, Senior Associate Pastor of the Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur and his family, towards the long term vision survival project for the Nagas. “This is in no way to gain name or appreciation but to acknowledge the almighty God for granting the family the opportunity to serve God by helping our society during the time of COVID-19 pandemic crisis,” the release stated.
Stating that the contributed amount from the Pastor’s family was made possible through the sale of the two books he had authored, the committee further stated that, “The intention behind this humble contribution is to encourage Naga friends who have been blessed by God to give generously and support the life-line road project to come to a reality at the earliest.”
It further acknowledged Nagaland Minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom for covering the expenses incurred during the February 5 meeting at Hotel Japfü, Kohima.
