
Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): Truckers have called a bandh that would affect 3 districts of Nagaland, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto and partially Longleng district starting from October 17. The Hill Area Truck Owners Association operating from Mariani and Jorhat in Assam has clamped the bandh, the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MCCI) informed the government today in a letter to the Commissioner, Nagaland. “This chakha bandh has direct impact on the economic activities of all four districts mentioned within a day or two resulting in a complete chaotic situation. If the bandh continue, many economic activities in all these districts will come to grunting halt adding uncertainty to the people engaged,” the letter from Moasangba Jamir, Vice president of MCCI stated.
