Tseminyu, June 6 (MExN): Consequent upon the mass COVID testing carried out on June 3 (Thursday) at Tseminyu town amongst the residents, including shopkeepers, followed by closure of all town shops for a period of three days, all the residents and shopkeepers who have tested positive have been directed to continue to remain in isolation strictly following all COVID appropriate protocols and constantly monitoring one's health and reporting to doctor on time for any medical help.
In an order W Manpai Phom, ADC & Chairman, SDTF for COVID-19 Tseminyu furthermore, informed all shopkeepers of permitted activities/essential commodities who have just recently tested negative to resume their business effective from June 7 (Monday) following all COVID protocols and as per the existing lockdown directives and shop timing.
In the interest of general public safety and as an aggressive preventive measure, and also to ensure a level playing field amongst the shopkeepers in terms of COVID testing, all those shopkeepers who have not yet taken the test or have missed it out during the June 3 test are informed to take the test which is fixed tentatively on June 9.
“Until such time and subject to the findings of the aforesaid test results, the shops of all such shopkeepers in the town shall remain closed,” the ADC stated.
He also added that any person/group of persons found acting in violation of this Order shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and under relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulations 2020.
