DIMAPUR, JULY 11 (MExN): Zunpha Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd., based in Tseminyu district, has been conferred the Best Performing Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) award during the NABARD Foundation Day celebration, held at the NABARD Regional Office Conference Hall, Dimapur, as part of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 observance.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by O.P. Mounglang, Deputy General Manager, NABARD, followed by an inaugural address delivered by Paulianap Bulte, General Manager and Officer-in-Charge, NABARD Regional Office Nagaland.
Addressing the gathering, DRCSN Nuiland lauded the role of cooperatives in strengthening rural economies and promoting community resilience.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation of awards, where Zunpha MPCS Ltd. and NSCtB were recognised for their outstanding performance and contributions to the cooperative movement.
The programme also featured the presentation and release of the NABARD Annual Report 2024–25, highlighting progress and impact of various cooperative and rural development initiatives.
Delivering a special address, Commissioner and Secretary of Cooperation Department, Orenthung Lotha, stressed the importance of strong cooperative institutions in achieving inclusive and sustainable growth.
A quiz on cooperatives was organised as part of the programme, engaging participants and promoting awareness of cooperative principles.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sarat Kumar Behera, Assistant General Manager, NABARD.
Zunpha MPCS Ltd. described the award as a recognition of the collective hard work and dedication of its members and reiterated its commitment to empowering rural communities and promoting cooperative values in Nagaland.
