Dimapur, May 26 (MExN): The Thenyizumi Students Union (TSU) has urged network service providers in Chetheba Circle under Chozuba subdivision of Phek district to improve services in the region in the interest of the student community.
In a press release on Wednesday, the union drew attention to the Nagaland University (NU) online Under-Graduate examinations which will commence from May 27, and said that the exams are a month-long process requiring uninterrupted internet connectivity.
However, it stated that there is poor network service in the region and the irregularities of both Airtel and Jio service providers are a cause for concern.
Further, the union stated that the hardships faced by the student fraternity with regard to the ongoing online classes have created a digital divide. As such, it appealed competent authorities to consider the matter with urgent importance and act in the interest of the student community and the public at large.
