TSEMINYU, FEBRUARY 7 (MExN): The Tseminyu Town Baptist Church (TTBC) celebrated its 50th anniversary on January 6 and 7 with the theme ‘Proclaim Love.’
The speakers of the Jubilee were Rev Andrew Semp, Secretary, NMM and Rev Haiwalo Apon, Executive Secretary, CRBC. On the first night of the celebration, Rev Semp shared his past experiences as one of the former pastors of TTBC. Based on the theme of the Jubilee ‘Proclaim Love’, he took references from the first letter of Corinthians 13 and 'The Four Loves' written by CS Lewis.
Earlier, Jubilee Monolith was dedicated by Rev Haiwalo Apon.
On the second day of the celebration, Rev Apon, in his message conveyed that to proclaim love, ‘word’ and ‘action’ should go hand in hand, taking his reference from the Gospel of John 3:16. He further stated that love is not only a statement, but also involves action and sacrifice basing on Truth. The celebration ended with a thanksgiving fellowship witnessing the recommitment and rededication of the congregation to proclaim God’s love.
