TUD requests APO to revoke quit notice

DIMAPUR, MARCH 18 (MExN): The Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) has appealed the Angami Public Organisation (APO) and its subordinate bodies to revoke the “ultimatum and quit notice.” The Mao community living in Angami jurisdiction was served ‘quit notice’ in connection with the dispute over the Kezoltsa/Kozürü/Kazing site.
The TUD made the appeal in a press statement, on March 18, while expressing alarm at the recent developments between the two communities. It however said that the situation at the disputed site was under control through the “sincere intervention of the Tenyimi People's Organization (TPO) and Naga People's Organization (NPO). According to it, the rest house which was dismantled has been restored and the Manipur Police, which was earlier stationed at the disputed site, has completely withdrawn from the area. “Therefore, the Tenyimi Union Dimapur sincerely requests the APO and subordinate bodies to revoke the ultimatum and quit notices in the interest of all,” the TUD appealed.
