Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): The Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) has urged the Government to “fully implement not only in letter but in spirit and rescue the common public from price rise.”
The TUD President, Vekhosayi Nyekha in a press release stated that the menace of rampant taxation by various government departments and underground factions in all the check gates has led to the price rise of all the essential commodities and pinched the life of all the common people. “It is the long pending demand of the general public to do away with all the illegal collection in check gates,” Nyekha said.
He said that the recent order to remove the check gates has brought back the public trust towards the implementing agency and this act will surely have a flow outcome.”
Meanwhile, TUD appreciated the state government, Nagaland Governor, Jagdish Mukhi for initiating to issue an order for closure of all the check gates to curb the illegal collection and Dy Chief Minister Y Patton for his seriousness to do away with illegal taxation.
