Tuensang: Certificate course on wild  beekeeping and processing underway

Tuensang, November 17 (MExN): The inaugural function of Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP), a one-month certificate course on wild beekeeping and processing organized by ENVIS Hub Nagaland, Host organization Nagaland Pollution Control Board kick started at Trongar village, Tuensang District on November 16 with Lidongse Sangtam, Village Council Chairman as chief guest. 

In his speech, he encouraged the trainees to take full advantage of the opportunity through this training. He also thanked the Host organization Nagaland Pollution Control Board for organizing such a training programme to benefit the villagers.

Bendangmoa Yim, Team Member i/c of Tuensang and Kiphire district from Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission along with Beekeeping Expert Longkangba of Yakor village attended the programme as resource persons. The programme was hosted by Limitsa S Sangtam, Programme Officer, ENVIS Hub Nagaland. 

The invocation prayer was pronounced by A Thejung Sangtam, Pastor, Trongar Baptist Church. Welcome address was delivered by Nannenlo Semy, IT Officer, ENVISNagaland. A powerpoint presentation on “Introduction to GSDP” was presented by Khriehunuo Rutsa, Information Officer, ENVIS Nagaland. 

It may be noted that the ENVIS Hub Nagaland had successfully conducted various GSDP certificate course on Pollution Monitors (Air & Water), Waste Management, Bamboo crafts, Bamboo Propagation and management and Wild Beekeeping & Processing.
