Tuensang, November 20 (MExN): The District Advisory Committee on Youth Programmes under Nehru Yuva Kendra held a meeting at DC Conference Hall on November 20. The meeting was chaired Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant.
Updates from the state DIPR informed that the meeting was attended by District administration headed by DC; Principal, Sao Chang Government College; Polytechnic Sedem; Vice Principal ITI; Youth Resource Department; Lead Bank Manager; ECS; Nodal Officer for NSS, NCC and Bharat Scouts & Guides; NYC and representatives of Apex Students' Unions.
Kishor Verma, District Youth Coordinator, NYK Tuensang highlighted on the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, its objectives, vision and profiles as well as details of NYK programmes.
DC Tuensang encouraged all the stakeholders to focus on the youths, specially the rural youth, since India is a young country and such programmes are important for the younger generation of the state. He also encouraged the NYKS Tuensang to be proactive in collaboration with tribal students' unions and other such agencies for implementation of project plans.
Discussions were also held on skills programmes for youth and balancing of gender differences in formation of clubs and participations.
