Tuensang, October 27 (MExN): Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its meeting on October 26 at DC's Conference Hall under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, L. Jamithung Lotha.
The Board welcomed new member, SDO (Civil) Tuensang, Ajit Kumar IAS. Reviewing the previous meeting minutes, the Chairman reminded the board members to submit the incumbency list for five years to the DPO (Planning).
The board after thorough deliberations recommended the following agenda for approval by the government- approval for change of society nomenclature from " Eastern Nagaland Women's Organisation Tuensang District to Mother's Welfare society Tuensang", proposal for construction of marketing shed in Tuensang for local women vegetable vendors and letter asking for detailed report on discontinuation of Sub - Divisional Horticulture Office at Shamator ADC, HQ.
The Board agreed to commence inter departmental badminton tourney at the initiative of District Administration as suggested by SDO Horticulture Department Tuensang. In this connection house adopted a three member Committee to chalk out the programme for the tournament. As scheduled Chief Medical Officer Tuensang, Dr. Pangjung Sangtam presented the power point presentations and meeting concluded with a note of thanks from the chair.
