The Assam Rifles in collaboration with Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) organised a lecture and interaction session at Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) hall in Tuensang town on October 9.
The objective of the event was to provide insights into the various career opportunities available in the Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The event also included the felicitation of selected candidates from Agniveer (Army).
Approximately 400 students from grades IX to XII, representing various schools in the town, as well as 23 teachers and parents of selected Agniveer candidates attended the event.

A PowerPoint presentation was made by a team from the Assam Rifles, shedding light on the importance and relevance of a career in the Armed Forces and CAPFs. An interactive session was held with officers and personnel from the Armed Forces, Assam Rifles, and selected candidates of Agniveer (Army), allowing students to gain valuable insights, ask questions, and receive guidance.
The five selected candidates from Agniveer (Army) were also acknowledged. The event also allowed an open forum for students to engage in discussions and clarify their doubts regarding the selection process, training, and life in the Armed Forces and CAPFs; and also networking opportunities with peers and mentors.
