Tuensang to check unregulated traffic from neighbouring district

Tuensang, August 14 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has issued an order that in view of the increase in number of COVID-19 cases in the neighbouring district of Mon. 

As measures to check in flow of unregulated traffic, entry into Tuensang via Taithung nula will be allowed only for procurement of essential goods and for medical emergencies under the following conditions:

•     Entry for procurement of essential goods and commodities shall be allowed only on Monday to Thursday between 6:00 am to 10:00 am. All such entries shall be permitted only on the production of valid travel permits issued by competent authority. 

•     For medical emergencies entry shall be allowed any day /time of the week. However, all such entries shall be allowed only on the production of valid travel permits issued by competent authority and necessary medical papers. 

•     All travellers are to maintain social distancing, wearing mask and comply to after health safety measures /precautions issued by the Government from time to time in view of COVID-19 pandemic. 

“These precautionary measures shall come into force with immediate effect from the date of issue of this order,” the DC stated.
