Tuensang Village Baptist Church attains 75 yrs

Tuensang Village Baptist Church is celebrating its 75 years platinum jubilee at Tuensang village under the theme, ‘Redeemed from darkness to light’ from May 20 to 22.

The speakers are Rev Achu Chang, Executive Secretary, CBLT, N Imlong Secretary C/M CBLT, Rev L Noksen Ngamen Women Secretary, CBLT, Rev H Sangkap, Pastor, TTBL and Rev Dr C Wongtochingmak, Pastor, Chang Baptist Church, Dimapur.

On May 20, N Imlong, Secretary C/M, CBLT declared the jubilee celebration open and Bharat Scouts and Guides Pipe Band, Tuensang village led the opening ceremony with a band display. Cheming, Pastor, Jujam Baptist Church said the invocation while welcome address was delivered by Baluju, Deacon, Tuensang Sang Baptist Lashong. Songs were presented by Jubilee Choir and Yungkük Baptist Church.

A prayer remembering the departed souls was led by Rev T Mongba, Pastor, Tuensang Sang Baptist Lashong. Short speeches were delivered by C Lepla, Former Women Leader and M K Yangbou, VCC Chongpho Khel. The message was delivered by N Imlong Secretary C/M, CBLT and Rev W Kaimang, Pastor, Sangsangnyu Baptist Lashong spoke the benediction prayer.

Earlier, the service was chaired by Imlong Zanchu and K Yakchingsonla.

On May 21, Jubilee Monolith was inaugurated by Rev Achu Chang, Executive Secretary, CBLT with C Tochi, President, Tuensang Sang Staff Thangjam leading the program and B Ako, Deacon with the prayer.

Later, in the service K Kushemyemjong and N Sometnaro led the programme while Beshang, Pastor, Chingmei Baptist Church said invocation. Souvenir and certificates were dedicated by Rev Achu Chang while short speeches were delivered by Rev Chongshen, Pastor, Khudei Baptist Lashong and O T Chingmak, Principal Secretary, Government of Nagaland.

Jubilee Choir and Tuensang Town Pastors’ Union presented songs while the sermon was delivered by Rev Achu, Executive Secretary, CBLT. Dr Y Alen, Pastor, Noksen Sang Baptist Lashong pronounced the benediction.
