Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The Rising People’s Party (RPP) on Friday alleged that “the constant propaganda of the UDA government that all appointments have been banned by the court is misleading.”
The party in a press release mentioned, on November 10, the two judges, Justice S Serto and S Hukato Swu issued an order allowing the state government to go ahead with recruitments in Group D services which do not fall within the purview of NSSB. The judges observed that all such posts should be filled up after proper advertisement “Which will ensure fairness, transparency, equal opportunity and inspire confidence in the minds of the youths seeking employment.”
Earlier on October 5, the judges had directed the NPSC to carry out its recruitment process as per the service rules without delay and accordingly 99 posts were advertised and the NPSC is in the process of conducting the exams.
“Also, as per the petition of our counsel, Neiteo Koza, the P&AR department complied with the court order dated October 5 and accordingly the NPSC issued a notification allowing upper age relaxation for 1 year upto 21.04.2021,” it said.
Therefore, the constant propaganda of the UDA government that “all appointments have been banned by the court is misleading, and such irresponsible utterances trample the dignity of the court.”
RPP said that the UDA government should be “ashamed for stooping so low. Instead it should introspect itself and ask why there’s excess appointment of 10,000 teachers in the state? After giving this bombshell statement during the on-going winter session, the UDA government went on to seemingly blame RPP for banning appointment of teachers in the Department of School Education, which is ironical to say the least.”
It stated that the UDA legislators should first ask their Additional Advocate General what deposition he made to the High Court in the first part of November. “The state’s top lawyer submitted a list to the court pointing to the fact that appointment of teachers under the Department of School Education does not fall within the ambit of NPSC or NSSB, period,” it said and added, in other words no one is stopping the department from appointing teachers provided proper procedures are followed. The same goes for the H&FW department.
“So why are the legislators blaming RPP on the floor of the state Assembly that it is responsible for banning appointment of teachers? It seems incredible that the UDA government does not know what’s cooking in their domain, or is it a ploy to mislead the public?” it questioned.
“Despite the machinations of the UDA government to scuttle the on-going court case, it shall not succeed. Truth and justice shall prevail,” asserted RPP.
