Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): The Unger Womens’ Union Kohima had visited Chakma Mission Field of Unger Baptist Church in Arunachal Pradesh from January 25 to 26, with Rev. Rongsenwati and Lima Imsong. The team from Kohima consisted of 11 members.
A press note received here stated that the visiting team had organized free medical camp by providing medicines to hundreds of villagers living in and around the mission field areas, to both Christians and non-Christians, who had turned up for the camp.
“The visiting team also offered mass lunch to the villagers, distribution of sweets to Mission School children, and free essentials commodities worth several thousand of rupees to the villagers,” the note said.
It also added that on their way back the women team also had service with Lakla Mission Church, which was first mission field started by ABAM in 1969. In 2004, they had celebrated silver jubilee, since then the mission was handed over to Tangsa people.
