Dimapur, July 31 (MExN): A number of unions in NAP sector of Tuensang today appealed to the Chief Minister of Nagaland to shift only 50% of the 3rd BN NAP. Chang Students’ Union, Chang Union, Sangtam Students’ Union, Yimchunger Students’ Union and Khiamninugan Union of NAP sector in Tuensang issued a joint statement today addressed to the chief minister making the appeal. “That the shifting of N.A.P jawans from 3rd BN N.A.P should not consist more than 50% of the total personnel; that the transfer should be made on deputation basis only and not permanent,” the unions stated.  According to the organizations the demands are made considering the volatile situation in Tuensang “due to frequent law and order problems.” “Moreover, this will also severely affect the educational prospect of many of their children vis-a-vis along with a host of other socio-economic problems. The honorable CM is requested to look into our concerns sympathetically,” the organizations stated.
